pedantic pedestrian's Interests
General Good Music in all its gloriously diverse forms, bless its fluffy old cottonhead;

Computers - I most definitely do not subscribe to the 'modern stuff is best, anything older than last Thursday is redundant' school of technology. I tend to stick with what works for me;

also:
Walking;
Doing The Charity Shops...

Music "There are only two kinds of music in this world: GOOD music and the stuff I don't like."

"Everyone knows rock attained perfection in 1974. It's a scientific fact." ~ Homer J Simpson

For a glimpse of what's currently "rockin' my world" (as you young folks probably don't say), click on the "MINTY'S PLAYLIST" tab on my journal page.
Movies I'm not a big movie-goer, but I do like to settle down with a good film on TV or DVD:

"Mirrormask", the "Qatsi" trilogy, anything by David Lynch, Tim Burton, Luc Besson, Christopher Guest, Stanley Kubrick or Alfred Hitchcock

...but DEFINITELY NOT films based on video games or comic books... or too much of this sort of thing...
Television US crime drama (but not the ones that habitually cheat by solving cases using technology that doesn't exist yet, or feature annoying ginger blokes who stare into the sunset for no apparent reason).

Scandinavian crime drama (much bleaker than US crime drama, plus there is less fake technology and far fewer annoying ginger blokes in it).

Current must-see:
The Walking Dead
Breaking Bad
Nashville

satirical 'news' shows

...but really, I'd have to agree with the old maxim that 'radio has the best pictures'
Books PG Wodehouse, James Joyce, Charlaine Harris, Steig Larsson, Douglas Adams, Dylan Thomas, Oliver Sacks, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle...
Heroes I don't know if I believe in the concept of 'heroes' as such, but these are some inspirational individuals without whom I wouldn't be the man I am today (that's right! blame someone else!):-

PG Wodehouse, James Joyce, Frank Zappa, Igor Stravinsky, Miles Davis, Kurt Schwitters, Sun Ra, Brian Eno, purveyors of Great Radio, Monty Python... and my own musical friends (you know who you are!)

About me:

Minty the Pedantic Pedestrian (for it is he) is a graphic artist and webjockey by persuasion and an experimental musician by inclination. One who is prone to making incredibly strange music such as this... Read all about it over here
